![]() I would then manually drag the next column to the exact same position on the workspace and run the KM Automation again. This loop would do all 127 tiles for a single column. I would then want to “Loop” the automation to go to the next row on the spreadsheet - reset the two variables - and place the next tile. Once those actions are done, the topmost tile would now be in the correct position. The first would highlight the “X Axis Position” and paste the firstCol variable - followed by the next “Move and Click” action highlighting the “Y Axis Position” and pasting the secondCol variable. The next Action in KM would be to “Activate GravitDesigner”.įollowed by another Action, the “Move and Click” action - this action would activate the topmost tile on the stack I manually placed.Īnd finally, there would be two additional “Move and Click” actions. My assumption is that I then must take both AppleScript Variables and make them KM Variables - this is one of the places I just can’t wrap my head around. The first Action in KM would be an “Execute AppleScript”.ĪppleScript would activate my Numbers spreadsheet and save the value of cell A1 to a variable (firstCol) and then it would save the value of B1 to a variable (secondCol). Each time I complete the below workflow, I will drag the next 127 columns to the exact same position in the workspace - This allows me to later in the workflow use the “Activate Application” and then the “Move and Click” actions without any alterations necessary. The tiles appear to be a single entity, but it is all 127 - with the top tile being the topmost tile. I will manually drag 127 tiles onto the workspace. Then I created a “workspace” using Grid Snapping - each grid is 256 x 256 pixels. I created a spreadsheet, with two columns - basically the first column is the “X Axis” and the second column is the “Y Axis”. User Ignorance should probably have been the first challenge listed. So that basically means there are 127 rows and 127 columns to complete the map. I am rebuilding a map from 16,129 individual tiles.Gravit Designer has “ZERO” AppleScript support.Gravit Designer (unfortunately I can know longer use Adobe products - so this is a free graphics app).I am mainly struggling with the concept of transferring AppleScript Variables to KM Variables and then Looping certain aspects of the automation. However, I have a task I have been trying to solve and just can’t come up with an automation which works. I usually am able to find answers to my challenges via the forums - this community is great for helping others out. You can select as many files as you want and they will all be attached - this saves me a ton of time each month. All stored in one group and activated with the same hotkey. In all I have 14 different file emailing macros. Pasted their address in the macro variable box for addresses, and modified the subject variable as needed. With that all setup, and the basic macro in place, I just duplicated the macro for each group of people I wanted to send an email to. I also set the sender in the AppleScript, but if you wanted to you could set that with a Keyboard Maestro variable just like I have for the recipient and subject lines. ![]() The heart of the macro is this AppleScript:Īt my office we BCC all communications to Highrise, and so you can see the address for that on the BCC line. You will also notice a blank variable for the recipient email address - I use that in later macros and it was easier to keep in than remove. I pass the date, because I simply couldn’t figure out how to get todays date formatted the way I wanted it in AppleScript. What this macro is doing is using Keyboard Maestro to pass variables to an AppleScript. More so than any of my other macros, this macro heavily relies on AppleScript to get the job done. What I have come up with in Keyboard Maestro (hat tip to ) is a macro that does just that. ![]() Additionally I have PDFs that I email monthly, to the same people, with just the date in the subject changing (and the PDF) - it’d be great to automate that too. Those are items I always need to change - so I’d like to be able to set those to a keyboard shortcut for faster sending of files. ![]() It doesn’t, and can’t, set simple things like the to, subject, bcc, and sending email account. ![]() While you can do that with the share menu on OS X, it’s not that great for a couple of reasons:Ģ. I’ve long had a need to take a file sitting on my computer and send to to someone. ![]()
